"Believe me, I am the Ancient One. Do not doubt that for a moment. I am not this body that you see. It is only a coat I. put on when I visit you."

"Although I take birth for all mankind, fortunate are those who love Me while I am still on earth."

“'When I break My Silence people will realize that I am God. Blessed are those who recognize Me before I break My Silence."

"'There is no charm of coming to Me after I break My Silence. Blessed are those who come to Me now."

“No one requires an introduction to Me, for no one is a stranger to Me. As a matter of fact, they have come with many introductions—for many times in previous lives have they been introduced to Me and have gone away and forgotten Me and met Me again."

“I clearly see your former lives, with all your intimate and intricate relationships with so many individuals. That which you as individuals know at this moment, I knew aeons ago, and what you as individuals in ages to come will be knowing at a particular moment, I know now. "

"If my actions cause confusion, it is because of your lack of complete trust. Therefore, uproot all doubt and remember well that whatever I do is for the best. All my actions are My divine response born of My divine love."

Let us remember the above on this occasion and realize how fortunate we, who have taken physical incarnations when Bhagavan Himself has taken physical Form as a human being—a personification of God and Love, —and how fortunate we are and those connected with every one of us are, in that Baba remembers us and has drawn us into his contact.

This being a Birthday Celebration, let us take things in a happy mood without converting this into too much of a serious study class on philosophical subjects. Let us today in common share the joy of knowing something of our Beloved Baba in the old early days.

Many of you may be somewhat thirsty for some information of how our Baba was regarded in the early days, say in 1929, i.e. thirty-six years ago when Baba was about 35 years of age. He was at that time not so well-known as he is today and the number of his disciples and followers were not in such thousands as they are today.

I shall communicate to you something which you may not get so vividly described in the available books. I have taken this from the issues of the old journal called "The Meher Message" of the year 1929. In those days, Baba was not called "Avatar," but "The Holy Master Yazdan Meher Baba" and also as "The Divine Majesty. "
