made that it was high time that the lovers in Bombay made up their minds and did something before it was too late, to bring about an awareness in the people that the Avatar was in their midst. When the significant words were being explained from the Family Letter to the Baba lovers gathered in the Hall of Avatar Meher Baba Bombay Centre, no one had the slightest idea that within a month's time the Bombay Centre itself would be able to play an active part in creating awareness in the people through the International Tourist Fair-1967, Bombay. It came about in this way. An advertisement in the daily paper appeared. The first thing the undersigned did was to make necessary enquiries about the aims and objects of this Fair, how the stalls were available, approximate cost of construction, cost of literature for free distribution, etc. etc. Thereafter a meeting of a few Baba lovers who could afford to donate towards the cost of a stall in the Fair, was called on 24th of September 1967 and it was explained to them that the International Tourist Fair was being organized by the Maharashtra State Government at Cross Maiden, Bombay, and that the Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, was to inaugurate the same on 30th of October, 1967. The point was made that Beloved Baba had given us this golden opportunity and it was up to us to grasp it. All agreed unanimously and donations were collected on the spot.

Necessary permission from Baba was obtained. With His Blessings and Good Wishes, useful suggestions and all the necessary help and guidance from Baba's Mandali members the work of participating in the International Tourist Fair was undertaken in right earnest and was completed one day before the Inauguration Day. The picture of the Baba stall will give one an idea as regards the display of photographs, charts and books, on and by Meher Baba. All the photos of Beloved Baba are made of uniform size and framed in white wooden frames, showing Baba's activities with appropriate captions printed on the mounts in bold and easily readable type. The main attraction at the Baba stall is a life size oil painting of Beloved Baba. This beautiful portrait is installed right in the middle of the stall on a pedestal stand having seven steps on which the Seven Realities, viz., Existence, Love, Sacrifice, Renunciation, Knowledge, Control and Surrender, are printed in rainbow colours. Along the two side-walls in the stall show cases with glass on top are fixed for display of all Baba books. The stall, though simple in construction, looks very attractive. It has sufficient space for fifty visitors to move around. Khansaheb Sarosh K. Irani, his wife Villoomai and Shri Adi K. Irani, Baba's Secretary - as Baba's representatives took part in the opening ceremony of the "Meher Baba The Awakener" stall at about 7:30 p. m. on Monday the 30th of October, 1967 soon after the Inauguration ceremony of the International Tourist Fair by Indira Gandhi was over.
