For example, in Poona, I gave ample time to the workers' meeting. I spent four hours at that meeting of the workers. In Meherabad, I held workers' meeting last week and explained to the workers about the real work and the real worker. The Poona group of workers love Baba intensely and work and serve with all their heart. In Andhra, I spent one full night (In 1954) to explain to the Andhra workers what "real work" meant. A small pamphlet was published entitled, "Who Is a Real Worker and What Baba Means by Real Work.'" *
''The substance of all these instructions is this. To make others follow My instructions, you must set an example yourself and through your own example you must spread My Love and My Message and make others follow Me. So that, through your own example, others may be led to follow your example.
"If, however, you yourself cannot follow My instructions, implicitly and honestly, while conveying them to others, at least tell them frankly and admit that you yourself cannot follow them but that you are only relaying My messages and instructions.
“If you yourself do not really 100% feel and are not convinced that I am the AVATAR, do not tell others that Meher Baba is the Avatar. Without the conviction in you that I am the Avatar, do not tell others that Baba is the Avatar of the Age."
Baba: "The time is limited and I want you all to choose either the workers' meeting or the group meeting." All unanimously voiced,"We want group meetings.”
He continued: "From 2:30 p.m. this afternoon till 5 or 5:30 p.m. we will have group meetings. Each group can come to Baba and spend about 15 minutes. Then, how about the groups? Haw many groups in all? How will you group yourselves?"
Various suggestions came forward—some were for groups according to the centers and towns or districts, some were for a common and consolidated group of all the Sahavasis present, and one (the senior of the Andhras whom Baba calls "the Grand Old Man"), suggested that the entire gathering might divide itself into three large groups, namely, (i) those speaking Telegu, (ii) those speaking Gujarati, and (iii) those who cannot speak either and know only English and other languages. Baba accepted this last suggestion and added that in such a case, the groups can have more time, say half an hour or 45 minutes.
