continues to remain eternally in the Beloved, it bums and consumes its false ‘I.' For example, in E. the real 'I' acts as the false 'I'; consumes the false 'I,' yet acts as the real 'I' within and loves the Real 'I’ within. Eventually, when the false ‘I’ is totally consumed, the Real 'I' remains supreme as the One Self."

Somebody from the congregation put The question: “Does “I” mean the physical ‘I’?”

Baba: "It is the false 'I’ that puts this question. 'I am Mr. X. . . . I am hungry . . . I had no sleep . . . I have my family . . . I lost my money and property! ― all this is false ‘I'. This includes the physical body, the subtle body and the mental body.

"Another example of false 'I'—the one translating here and the ones listening are false 'I's'!"

Baba, when the word "Love" was translated as "Bhakti," stopped the translator and remarked: "The Path of Love is not to be called 'Bhakti.' Rather, the consummation of Bhakti is Love. Love is the highest; it can be called the highest Bhakti. There is difference between Bhakti and Love. For example, here is a Bhakta and Baba. This Bhakta worships Baba and does Bhakti. When "Bhakti" increases and reaches its zenith, the Bhakta (one who loves) tries to embrace and kiss Baba and thus the Bhakta finds no curtain between Baba and himself. Let the Bhakti go to such a zenith and then there will be no curtain between Baba and yourself."

Baba continued: "The Path of Love is the third path. The first path was the path of actions, serving other false 'I's.' The second was the path of worshipping false ‘I's.' This third path of Love is very, very important. So, listen please with all attention to what I have to say. It is but for the very few to annihilate their very existence and merge in Me. To those others who want to love Me, I have given points for them to follow. Love means ‘Love.' It has no superficiality or formalities. The lover has to keep the wish of the Beloved and has to keep the Beloved always pleased and happy. What are the wishes of your Beloved—if you take me to be your Beloved? Here they are:

“(i)     Do not shirk your responsibilities—such as home, family, office, jobs, etc.

“(ii)    Attend faithfully to your worldly duties, but keep at the back of your mind that all this is           Baba's.
