PART II — With Baba in India. 1949-1952

Of the fifteen years spent with Baba in India, the two-year period of October, 1949 — February, 1952, preceding Baba's visit to the United States, April, 1952, has been the most difficult to recall. During most of this period Baba was away on his "New Life” phase when only four of the women mandali and sixteen men companions accompanied him on his travels throughout India.

It is only possible to pass on certain facts as they came to those of us "left behind," largely through direct messages from Baba or through circulars sent by Baba's permission and written by Dr. Ghani, Dr. Nilu and Adi Sr., respectively.
