find some visible means whereby we could put that inpouring of Love into action and pour it all forth again for his work; and so feel we were returning to Him a little of his love.
As one looks back on Baba's travels and sees the cables he has laid and is laying right across the world, it comes to one as a wonderful privilege to be able to help (as many of us have done) in the laying of these cables by our material help. We know perfectly well that Baba could do all his work and not use anyone else, but this is not Baba's way. To each he allots specific work. Each has had, up to now, to share in that work and has to do in the future too, Baba says, "Have you any idea of the greatness of the task that is ahead for THE SPIRITUAL UPHEAVAL OT THE WORLD? It will require a spirit that is prepared to face anything, rigid and immovable like a rock, weathering all blasts of wind and storm from all four corners."
And then he goes on to say: "I am testing you all now, trying to bring you out of Maya and illusion and to loosen the tics that bind you to her, but some cry out in child-like ignorance “I don't want that, I only want such and so on." This makes more work for me." But this is the testing time for all and he comes and goes as he says — to increase our love. As he writes, "The pangs and suffering of separation are essential for the experiencing of the bliss of Union." if there was no darkness, none would appreciate the light; so separation there must be, says Baba, to make us appreciate and realize the full significance of Love. And, from that time forth, this is literally what has been happening. I will again take up this narrative — from our next reunion in Italy for three weeks, to Baba's visit to London for nine days in December. Others will fill in the event ful days in Hollywood, and from there to Honolulu, Japan, and China.

There is no market for providing the realization of God. And even if any one were to offer such realization, there would be extremely few customers for it. The world is so immersed in ignorance that it has no capacity to assess the value of spiritual Truth. Yet the Masters have again and again tried to help the fumbling and bungling masses of humanity by describing Godhood in a language which they could understand. By descending to their level, only some glimpses of that Truth can be imparted. However, for the most part, those who are thickly covered with
