In the afternoon we played cards as usual. After that we went for a walk with Baba on the Meherazad road. Pointing to a hut in one of the fields, Baba said that He used to sleep in that but at night. It was a stable hut had been cleaned up for Baba. He would leave the hut in the morning at 4 a.m. On our return to the meeting hall, Baba distributed toffees and custard apples to all. When Baba retired to His house I accompanied Him with an umbrella. On the way I said, "Baba, four days of our stay are already over." Baba looked at me with intense love and gave me a kiss.

The evening was spent listening to the mandali as usual. One of them related two peculiar dreams he had. He had dreamt that he was near the tomb of Hafiz. Suddenly from the tomb he heard a voice saying, "None else but Baba." This was repeated thrice. On another occasion, he had dreamt of a fort. Thousands of men were fighting with swords. He was aghast at the sight of so many dying and ran up a staircase, then into a corridor. In the second room, off the corridor, was Baba seated with a big sword on His lap. He stopped at the door. Suddenly, a man came running up to tell Baba that a great war was being waged and that Baba must come and help. Baba replied, "This is not the time for My manifestation." The man went away. After some time, the same man returned, to repeat his request; and Baba gave the same reply. After some time, the same man returned and said, "If you don't come now, not one man will remain alive." Upon hearing this, Baba stood up, holding His sword—thus the dream ended.

Once, one of the mandali was coming to Meherazad. On the way, two sadhus joined him. He warned them that Baba might not see them but they insisted on going with him. The three of them reached Meherazad and Baba granted the two outsiders an interview. When they approached Baba, He asked one of them, "Will you obey Me?" The reply was in the affirmative. Baba ordered him to leave at once for a certain place. The sadhu obeyed but before leaving the premises, he prostrated himself before the mandali member who had brought him to Meherazad and said, "I wholeheartedly thank you for the unique opportunity of having the darshan of 'Datta Bhagwan' (Baba) today."

Once a friend had given one of the mandali a letter to be given to Baba. When he brought the letter to Baba, he told the mandali member to keep the letter with him until Baba had some free time. Baba stayed in that place for a few days and during the course of conversations replied to all the questions in the letter. One day the mandali member found Baba all by Himself and so gave Him the letter. But Baba said to him, "Throw it in the river; if I don't know its contents without reading it I am not Baba."
