Is this supersonic speeding necessary or inevitable? It is necessary for the greater comfort of man and self-sufficiency of his increasing numbers. It is inevitable for the obvious reason that the conditions in the world so exist. What is it then that can change the tide of events servile to the exhausting display of mind at the altar of greed and selfishness? Can any one conceive of a remedy?

Love is the only source. Love can counteract and balance the excesses of the mind. It is the one power that can move the heart to a benevolent line of thought and action. It is expedient therefore that the heart be allowed to have a free and unfettered intervention in the affairs of the mind. It is very difficult for us to grasp intellectually what the Infinite Heart is like. But we can definitely feel it at the level of human expression. Human experience is beset with difficulties of an incorrect appreciation of Truth. We should guard ourselves from a misleading application of our feeling to appearances of verbosity, talent or false humility. We must alert ourselves to a firm and profound understanding of the ultimate value of truth and say:

Stoop not to any temptation of impatience or immediate gain. There are hundred of saints and sadhus, fakirs and pirs and dyani babas They offer charms and practices for overnight material gain or speedy relief from suffering. They also offer rapid spiritual advance through stimulating inner experiences. They are either fake or half-baked spiritualists. Their ready-made devices act as a hypnotic spell or a temporary dope to human
