I draw the attention of all lovers of Baba to this revelation and call upon them to ponder on its significance. He declared:
"God is both the Father and Mother in One. The Avatars are Sons of the Father in the Beyond State. All past Avataric periods witnessed the presence of the Avatar as the healthy, bright, wise Son of God . . . Hitherto, God in the Beyond State did not have occasion to play the part of God the Mother. In this Avataric period, God the Father is very pleased with Me at My being infinitely bright, wise, efficient, and perfect in all respects as My Father wants Me to be; and I am the beloved Son of My Father. At the same time, in this form, I am physically disabled. In America in 1952 I was injured on the left side of My physical frame from leg to face. In India, in 1956, I injured My right side from head down to the leg. Besides being physically disabled, I am also infinitely simple and guileless. Thus I am also the well-beloved Son of My God the Mother. So, in this incarnation of the Avatar, God has the occasion, as it were, to play the part of both Father and Mother."
The Christians believe in God the Father and God the Just, and to them in America Baba brought the message of God the Mother. It was not necessary in India where we believe in God the Mother also. Thus, Baba has been the embodiment of Love, and the message of Love is the only Message He has been incessantly preaching to mankind. But who can love the son better than the mother? The father's love and the mother's love, as Baba has explained in the same message, have this difference, that the father loves the wise, intelligent, and healthy sons, while the mother's love is the warmest for the son who is a disabled weakling. Baba has proclaimed His Mother's love for the weakest, the meekest, the most disabled of us in the above message. Most of us belong to this category and this is, therefore, a message of hope and aspiration for us. God the Mother has extended Her loving and helping hand to us and is keeping an all-night vigil for Her helpless children.
It is as a mother that Baba held the Sahavas programs, disregarding His health and physical suffering. He was in constant pain. In announcing the Sahavas program, He declared:
"My suffering is becoming daily more intense, and my health is daily getting worse, but My physical body continues to bear the burden of it all. Despite it all, I will hold the Sahavas, I expect from you a deep understanding of
