My visit was inspired by Murshida Duce's flying visit from Saudi Arabia January I5-17. When circumstances set up a business trip to Dhahran for me in May, I immediately asked Baba for permission to continue on to Him. Mani's wonderful letter relaying Baba's "Yes" arrived the same day Don Stevens was here in Geneva. In the same mail was Murshida's note giving helpful details about travel plans. It was a great day!

From the moment I left Geneva on April 28 until Baba received me on May 23-24, events constantly pointed up the imminent meeting with the Master. As Jeannie [Campen] and I took off into billowy black clouds buffeted by Lake Geneva's strong "bise,” or wind, the whole landscape had a strange and unreal bright green glow. Soon we were completely encircled with a beautiful 360-degree ring rainbow. A tremendous clap of static electricity exploded off the starboard wing tip. The glistening snow-capped peaks below us made the air-filling life belt demonstration appear rather pointless. Then the sharp, jagged rocks drenched with sugary snow blended into the candy-cotton clouds which soon dissolved into clear, deep blue skies. Even the dinner, served over rugged Yugoslavia, had new meaning; design and flavor were intense with a never-to-be-forgotten rippling wave pattern in the coffee.

In Athens it was Orthodox Eastertime. The ceremonies and special dishes constantly reminded us of the Avatar. Special Easter pageantry. with the Parthenon on the Acropolis lighted in the background, demonstrated how the same events can be commemorated differently in different parts of the world. With such a beginning we felt pangs of regret when Jeannie had to head back to Geneva as I continued eastward.

Further stations visited during this wonderful journey were Jerusalem and Bethlehem. To stand on Mr. Olivet where Jesus ascended and look across at the Dome and the Rock where Mohammed ascended is appropriate conditioning for a visit to Baba. Being in Damascus where Paul saw the light was also a memorable experience. The flight from Beirut to Dhahran recalls the 40 years' wanderings with Moses in the Sinai wilderness. From Dhahran to Bombay there is ample time to reflect on the infinite ocean!

The flight Murshida had taken was scheduled several hours later than when I flew to Baba. My particular plane was behind schedule; consequently, I only talked with Nariman by telephone upon arrival at the
