Memories of the Master

Here is an excerpt from a letter from BABA during another seclusion of his, many years ago, but which touches us all today: “and although I see no one during seclusion, not even the Mandali residing in the colony, the silent communion with all the dear ones, wherever they are, continues as ever. For there is no separation in Love, and wherever I am, under any condition of seclusion in the remotest corner of the globe, I AM ALWAYS WITH YOU, who love me so and are ever so close.'"

 

The S. family recall BABA said to them: "Eons and eons ago God said, 'I love those who love Me, and even those who do not know Me, I love."

 

From a letter of one who met BABA last summer: “Five months have elapsed since I saw BABA. I have tried several times to reply to your letter a fortnight after seeing him, but could not seem to express in words all I was going through of an ever-deepening understanding. I felt I must wait, and let it go on, until it became clearer. Hence my silence until now . . . I had typed some questions for BABA, thinking to put them to him, but those words of his, "Things which are real are given and received in silence," kept persistently in my thoughts. I did not understand their meaning then, but I felt that if he knew all that you say he did, he would sense without words what I was most earnestly seeking . . . So I sat before him in silence for some minutes; then he said, "Seek the Truth. I will help you, I give you my Love." Through the quiet contemplation of the five months that have followed, I have realized something of that Reality and Peace which is Truth . . . You said in your letter, "Things will grow upon you more and more." It is true . . . everything has become clearer, not from anything outside, but from within, where alone the living Master must be realized. . . . "

 

From a friend in England come the following BABA gems: "Remember, my Love and blessings are ever present with you. Your work is my work, and what you do for those who come to you for help, is done for me. Selfless service is my motto, and as you know, I teach you all by serving all humanity myself." . . . "I have nothing else but Love, to give and to convey." . . . Don't you ever feel disheartened about anything; you have only
